Armed sleeping bag kapok

Kapok sleeping bag from the defense made sometime during the 50s or 60s in Norway. This is a warm, if somewhat heavy, sleeping bag. It is in three parts as buttoned together, hence the name button bag. Kapok is the term for the slider, which is a quilted bag that is incredibly hot. The bag is not flammable, which can be an advantage. Modern bags burning like matchsticks.

Norwegian Military Sleep System, Olive Drab; 40° comfort rating; 29 x 74 inch l.
