In 2004 patagonia developed a turnkey environmental clothing system called the military advanced regulator system or mars. Based on their commercial regulator line, slight modifications were made to designs and the color was changed to alpha green. This is a genuine us military patagonia mars jacket utilized by us socom operators in cold climates.
It is level 4 of the Special Forces ECWS outfitting system. It is a lightweight shell. It has 2 chest pockets, 2 sleeve pockets, and a drawstring hem and velcro patches on both side pockets to put rank, insignia etc. These are very rare and hard to find.

The Slinghsot was a component of the Military Advanced Regulator System (MARS) military clothing system. A lightweight wind and water resistant softshell, it has a bit of stretch built in. Two angled bicep pockets.
