It is the lantern issued to the British Army in replacement of Torch Right Angle and manufactured by the British company Nitech Limited with NSN 6230-99-457-5145 and contract CPGS1 / 5078. It dates from 1998. (Currently Gerber brand flashlights are delivered along with a multipurpose and a head torch). It is made of high-strength green plastic. It measures about 18 cm (allows transport in pockets or vest). It is water resistant up to 5 meters deep and its operating range goes from -45ºC to + 60ºC.

The flashlight is turned on by turning the rear cover clockwise using a tab.

The flashlight, apart from the standard white light, can operate with a single filter system that allows it to have red and green colors. To change the filters you have to turn the button located on the head of the flashlight. The central position is occupied by white light. If you turn to the right you get the green filter and to the left the red filter.

The lantern works with two alkaline batteries type LR6 / AA. To insert the batteries, unscrew the rear cover to the left. To prevent water from entering, screw the cap back on firmly.

The flashlight has two spare bulbs. To access them, you have to unscrew the head of the flashlight and move a tab.

It also comes with a fairly long carrying cord (ideal for not losing the flashlight).
